To get the fire

Because of the great importance of the fire in life of people, different ways of its yielding were invented by prehistoric people that used it for lightening, warming, food cooking, the protection from wild animals and the signs giving.

The first way to get the fire was probably the method of getting the fire from the free source of warming such as lightning for example (however the lightning stroked the trees rarely due to the natural conditions and the weather).

The piece of wood that was revolved in the hole to get the fire was probably substituted later by the tinder that was made from the mushroom outgrown on the oak and ash tree. The traditional form of the fire keeping at that time and nowadays is the campfire. The methods of fire keeping are also taught during the courses of the wild conditions survival.

The first chemical method of fire yielding was the fire getting from the catalysis discovered by the German chemist. On base of his discovery he created the apparatus that was not destined for the every-day use. The improved version of this apparatus is considered to be the Kipp's apparatus.

Later humanity made up matches. And nowadays one of the most used and famous ways of the fire getting is gas and petrol lighter.

Nowadays it is hard to imagine the modern world without the fire that has become so important. Till nowadays humanity didn't manage to invent something better than such present of nature as fire.
