The role of fire in spiritual world

Sanctification of the fire is explained by its magical abilities in understanding of the archaic consciousness: damaging the plants it turns them into the substance that fertilizes the earth; it gives bright light at night and can be transmitted from one place to another; if to take care of it, it gets the eternal life; during the cremation it separates the body from the soul; it frightens the wild animals and insects that cause diseases.
The fire is considered to be the incarnation live power that has the soul: it is moving fast; it is hungry even damaging everything live; if to take care of it, it turns into the giant flame; being of the red colour it is similar to the human blood; the heat of the fire is similar to the heat of the human body.
The fire is represented as both the heaven and terrestrial by its origins: it comes to earth together with the lightning; it lives in volcanoes under earth. In general the fire gets the ambivalent symbolic similar to water.
The fire of the hearth is the symbol of family prosperity and peace; it purifies and protects from the evil forces. The fire opposes the water but at the same time is connected with it closely. It keeps the earth off the rains with the magical powers but its smoke also attracts the rain clouds during the droughts.
Cosmogonic connotations of the image are pictured in the Vedic tradition. For example it is said there that the law and truth were born from the burning fire. The night was born in such way. And the exciting ocean was also born.
In such way the fire was always described as the source that gives birth.
