The Holy Fire

The Holy Fire is the miracle that appears in the form of the fire every year in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem during the Holy Saturday. According to people this fire doesn't have the natural origins and doesn't burn during the first minutes of its burning.
Usually the Jerusalem patriarch enters the Church. Before entering he is usually searched to be sure he has no matches or another source of the fire.
This miracle happens only on the Holy Saturday and only in the presence of the Jerusalem patriarch or the person who has his duties. During the ceremony there are representatives of different Christianity confessions of faith and several thousands of Christians. After the inflammation the fire travels all over the world.
According to the Orthodox Church the absence of the Holy Fire during one of the years will be the sign of the soon end of the world. Since 1993 the Holy Fire is carried to Greece and Russia by the plane.
The most ancient mentioning of the great appearance of the Holy fire refers to the second half of the 9th century. The notes about the Holy Fire were made by one of the Muslim priest and the second one was made by the Christian pilgrim.
According to the Orthodox Church the Holly Fire is the miracle that is made by the God. There are several arguments in favour of such thought. First of all it is the spontaneous ignition of the candles; secondly it is the appearance of the flashes during the Fire appearance.
