Semargl, the Slavic god of fire

One of the greatest gods in the Slavic mythology was the god of fire whose name was Semargl. Sometime he is considered to be only the heaven dog that protects the seeds for agriculture.
The ancient Slavic books mention the birth of this god. This god was born from the sparkles of the hammer. He was travelling using the horse with the silver hair. The dense smoke became the symbol of this god and the smoke was the unchangeable companion of the fire. The place where Semargl travelled, the scorched earth was left similar to the black desert. This was his great power but usually this god had the image of peaceful calm character. This was the projection of the fire that could be huge and powerful damaging everything and can be the good and calm peaceful helper in every-day life.
Semargl was the god of the fire and the moon as well as of the sacrifice, home and hearth. He keeps the seeds carefully as well as the agricultural fields. People also thought he had the ability to change into the dig with the wings.
The real name of the god of the fire is unknown. Probably it is connected with the fact that his name is so saint that it can't be discovered. This god lives near people in the people's world. People try not to pronounce his name orally trying to avoid it with the help of the language resources.
Slavs also connect the appearance of people. According to legends gods created man and woman from two branches between which the fire started to burn. The fire is the first flame of love.
